As The Summer Heat Continues...

Another great Tea-Sicle idea!  It's harvest time for many fruit growers, so gather some of that goodness in a cooling treat.  If you have an avocado that is just past the stage for salad use, and some really ripe plums (even ones with flaws on the skin), here's a recipe for Avocado Plum Tea-Sicles:  2 tablespoons yogurt (we like vanilla!) 1/2 very ripe avocado, peeled and seeded 4 very ripe plums 1/2 cup very strong chai tea, brewed and cooled Place the yogurt and avocado into a large (4 or 8 cup) measuring cup for easy pouring when done.  Score...

Easiest Iced Tea Ever!

As the temperature rises Iced Tea becomes an even better alternative to sugary soft drinks or high-salt sports drinks.  For many people, making a pitcher of iced tea seems like just too much trouble.  They make a big batch of hot tea, then have to figure out how to store it and cool it down. Happy Canada Day!

I was 12 years old when Canada became 100 years old ... that makes the country ... oh never mind! As a 7th generation Canuck, I'm feeling the need to exert my patriotism.  For a while now I've wondered why  we name our most popular Chai by the name "Chai Americaine". By popular decree, as our Canada Day 2014 activity, we are renaming this fabulous tea!  New name:  Chai Eh! Are you feeling more Canadian yet?
