Tea Regions: Assam (India)
Grown under the canopies of Assam's Khongea Estate, this tea will take you on a journey from the south banks of the Brahmaputra River to the Tea Markets of Kolkata. Sweet and Malty like a fine Scotch Whiskey, Master Origins: Assam is a cup to be savoured.
Growing Region: India's Assam region lays nestled along the southern edge of the Eastern Himalayas and occupies Bengal's northern-most border. Renowned for it's rich, malty, and robust character, Assam is the world's largest tea-growing region by volume/area. High rainfall, especially during the monsoon season, and a tropical climate makes the soil rich and fertile, providing the trees with everything they need to grow full-flavoured leaves.
