Growing Region: China's Anhui region has been home to tea gardens for centuries. One of China's most famous teas, Huangshan Maofang, is grown in the south of the province. Legend has it that a 19th Century government official from Anhui wanted to learn the secret's of making black tea from the farmers of China's Fujian Province. He brought back what he learnt from the farmers in Fujian and started growing his tea near the town of Qimen. A global success, Keemun has now been enjoyed around the world for two centuries and is a crucial ingredient in premier breakfast blends.
